Description
Colourful totem pole carved by had in North Vancouver (NVAN) British Columbia (BC) from the red cedar tree (Thuja plicata) or western red cedar. This one depicts the legendary “Thunderbird” but exactly what it’s sitting on is anyone’s guess as there are quite a few animals to choose from and from what I could gather they all have a mean grin. My guess, an angry looking beaver, ticked off turtle, maybe a bear.
It’s signed by KM Yiouw and is in great condition. The wings have been tacked onto the back and swivel, but when positioned they stay put.
