The makers of these gorgeous baluster candlesticks are a mystery, because of their quality and design i took them everywhere to see if i could find out where they may have come from, but no luck. I had them appraised at Rosenburys in West Norwood who too were unable to put a name on them but said the columns were bronze and that they were indeed a charming pair of candlesticks. Their estimate was £80 to £100 and that the candlesticks dated from between 1910 to 1940. “Faux Bois” means “fake wood” in French, just in case you were wondering.
