Description
Two interesting pieces of ornamental turned wood by Paul Coker, a professional turner and member of the Society of Ornamental Turners and the Freedom of the Turners’ Company.
These are probably old fashioned magic apparatus and part of the Victorian Collection created for the celebration of The Magic Circle Centenary 2005.
Made from African blackwood, the accents on the small pot are white bone and its lid finial unscrews. The small cup has a helix shaped stem. Both show some wear and the lid has a scratch.
These are exquisitely handcrafted ornamental turnings and quality items which would have taken around 8 hours to make. I have verified with Paul Coker that these are his work, the cup is signed on the bottom.
