Red Friedel Starburst – Lotus design Mid Century Candelstick

This interesting looking candlestick was made in Western Germany and although this one is not marked as such it is the same style as a Friedel. trademarked normally with “Ges Gesch” which is an abbreviation for “Gesetzlich Geschutzt” German for “Protected By Law”

I know, that does not have much to do with this candlestick, but I found it interesting so I thought you might too.

It’s quite an old candlestick usually attributed to the 60s so Mid Century by design it shows a little wear (if you look close enough) and the inner holder for the candle has rusted. Might come back to life with a brillo pad. It’s quite a large one as I have sold some that were smaller.
