Description
This interesting little fellow is an Okimono bug circa 17th to 18th century and was made by the armourers of the Samurai. They made these during a period of time when there was a relative peace between Daimyo (land owners). This one is not articulated and may have been part of Kakushi Buki Jutsu which was the art of hidden weapons as unlike other Okimono Insect’s i have seen for sale its antennae are very sharp and is very good match to an antique meadate belonging to a Samurai’s kabuto which is for sale as part of the Zenter Collection California.
