Description
It’s a walking stick with spiritual meaning the Tokotoko is used by Maori leaders and tribal elders as a sign of their status, mana and spiritual power and probably to bang them bloody kids over the head (only joking).
This superb example is made from a hard but light Tulip wood and is topped with a Tekoteko to ward away evil spirits. It’s a rather nice stick and i would suspect you would be hard pushed to find one within the 11,426 miles, as the crow fly’s from the UK, of its original place of origin in New Zealand.
