Poor Kitty – Print by Gig

Poor Kitty here was a creation of Girard Goodenow “Gig” who got his inspiration from the pop artist Walter Keane who in the 60’s created images of big eyed kids. Im finding this all a bit creepy (being a horror fan that i am). Any way Girard was responsible for most of the big eyed cats and puppys of the 60’s. I have to admit i find kitty rather cute but also so sad. I love the typical run down Manhattan townhouse and trash cans in the background.
