Vintage Sea Life Charm Bracelet

This fascinating charm bracelet showcases sea life motifs, including clams, fish, coral, and a dolphin reminiscent of George John Vulliamy’s iconic London lamppost dolphins, complete with a faux pearl in its mouth. Made from gilded cast metal, adorned with rhinestones, much of the gilding has worn away. While charm bracelets gained popularity in Victorian times with charms holding sentimental meanings, this piece has me intrigued. The dolphin’s style and quality seem out of place for the 1950s or 60s, which the bar and ring clasp suggests. I’m wondering if this bracelet might have been reworked, combining older charms with a newer chain.
